Cadouin is located halfway between Bergerac and Sarlat. Its cistercian abbey and cloisters feature on the World Heritage List as stages on the Saint Jacques of Compostella pilgrimage. The Villa Marguerite is situated in very close to the abbey where you will be greeted by Rodolphe,“our caretaker with the golden keys”.

In the north, the Vézère valley offers some of the most renowned pre-historic sites
(Lascaux, Les Eyzies national museum of pre-history) and numerous caves.

In the south, le Pays des Bastides of which Montpazier gives the most representative architectural example and les Abbayes.
